Who should I contact
about a bill?

HOW DO I KNOW WHO TO CONTACT?

Need help with a government issue? Here’s who to contact:

  • Federal Issues:  Contact your U.S. Representative or Senator for:

  • National security concerns
  • Immigration matters
  • Foreign relations
  • U.S. passport services
  • Postal Service issues
  • Federal laws and regulations
  • Taking positions on federal bills

  • State Issues:  Contact your State Representative or State Senator for state legislation. When a bill is in committee, you may also want to contact committee members directly. Visit our website for a complete list of House committees and their members.

Research legislative issues carefully. While special interest groups can be a source of information about pending legislation, some may distort facts to generate outrage or fundraising. The best approach is to:

  • Read the actual bills yourself
  • Verify claims independently
  • Draw your own conclusions

You can find the full text of all filed legislation here

If you’re in the 157th House district (Appling, Evans, Jeff Davis or Tattnall counties) my contact information is available below.
  • Local Issues:  For city and county matters, contact your:
  • City Council members
  • County Board of Commissioners
